The Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) establishes local Pension Boards to administer routine duties of the retirement system. Their primary purpose is to review and approve or disapprove retirement and Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP) applications from participating employees. Drexel Heights Fire District's Pension Board consists of the Chairman of the Drexel Heights Fire District's Governing Board, two District employees who are members of the PSPRS and two residents of the community.
All meetings are open to the public, and generally are held in the Board Room at the Prince Administration Center, 5950 S. Cardinal Ave.. A regular meeting schedule has not been established because the Board meets on an as needed basis.
In accordance with state law, notices for all Local Pension Board meetings, along with agendas, must be posted at least 24-hours in advance of the meeting. Public notices and agendas are posted at all five DHFD fire stations.
Meeting notices are also posted on this website. Please be advised that pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02(A)(3)(b) a technological problem or failure that either prevents the posting of public notices on a website or that temporarily or permanently prevents the use of all or part of the website does not preclude the holding of the meeting for which the notice was posted, if DHFD complies with all other public notice requirements.
